Boar’s Night Out Wins 1st Place Hog at Pigapalooza 2022 at the American Royal

October 26, 2022 By WooPigFoodie Leave a Comment

It’s always a lot of fun to watch Boar’s Night Out compete. They have a huge team of serious and fun cooks. Their food is no joke. But they’re pretty lighthearted about how they go about competing. And it’s always fun to see someone take a blowtorch to a hog. Here’s a bunch of photos of them in action, taking their 4th win at Pigapalooza at the American Royal in Kansas City raising money for Operation BBQ Relief.

I got there early in the day, so I got to see a lot of the prep.

Now that the hog is ready, it’s time for the show. Eric Hodson is the ringleader.

If you look closely in the pic below you can see the spray from how juicy it is!

The Thing About Fried Pickles

The thing about fried pickles is that you know they’re going to be hot. And you know that little cup of ranch dressing isn’t going to do it. You’re going to burn your mouth, your hands, and have hot vinegary dill pickle juice streaming down your chin and dripping onto the table. That’s just the way it is. And you don’t care. So you dive in, and burn yourself good. And it’s fantastic.
